The cricketer he chose has many achievements during his captaincy
Former England Cricket Team captain Michael Vaughan shared his thoughts on who is the best white-ball captain between India’s Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He picked the legendary Dhoni as the best captain for limited-overs.
‘Eoin Morgan was a revelation in 50-over cricket. MS Dhoni doesn’t do international captaincy anymore but in our era, Dhoni is the best white-ball captain I have seen…the way he manoeuvres from behind the stump, just reads play, thinks out of the box, handles the pressure card and is also great with the bat. In Tests, Virat Kohli is busy, energetic, a brilliant batsman, full of life. I like the way he captains’, Vaughan said.
During MS Dhoni’s captaincy, the Men in Blue met success in the World T20 in 2007. They also lifted the trophy in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. In 2013, India also championed in the Championship Trophy. Dhoni retired from Test cricket in 2014. Current skipper Virat Kohli later succeeded his post in red-ball cricket.
MS Dhoni captained the Chennai Super Kings, a successful team who plays in the Indian Premier League. To know more about the IPL, check out the page on Betwala.
