After the turn-over of the second negative COVID-19 test result, Mohammad Amir is set to travel to England.
Based on the Pakistan Cricket Board’s safety protocols, their players would have to test negative twice before being allowed to go to England. So far, Pakistan player Mohammad Amir, together with team masseur Mohammad Imran, has now tested negative twice for COVID-19 and are already headed to England.
Upon arrival in England, Amir will still have to be isolated and tested. There, he also has to undergo some COVID-19 tests where he also needs to produce two negative results. Should he test negative, then he will already be allowed to join the Pakistan squad on their training.
To date, the rest of the Pakistan team are staying in Derby after they have completed their 14-day isolation period in Worcester. So far, one intra-squad four-day game has already been played by the team. The next one will be held from July 24 to July 27 as preparation to condition them before they travel to Manchester.
Pakistan’s tour of England comprises of three Tests (one in Manchester and two in Southampton) and three T20Is in Manchester. The said series will run from August 5 until September 1.
