Hafeez called Ahmed a ‘strong hitter of the ball’ who has the uncanny ability to bat in any position depending on the needs of the situation. Hafeez also believes that the player has a very bright future ahead of him.
Hafeez represented Pakistan for over a decade and has scored a total of 6614 runs from 218 ODIs with an average of 32.9. He has also collected 139 wickets with an economy of 4.18. He also showed his ability to play with the red-ball scoring a total of 3652 runs in 55 Tests with an average 37.64.
‘Iftikhar is a strong hitter of the ball. You can use him wherever you want. He knows how to deliver and has proved that in domestic cricket’, said Hafeez in an interview. Hearing praises from a legend of Pakistan cricket will help boost Ahmed’s confidence.
