Thomas was involved in a car collision and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Oshane Thomas, a Jamaican fast-bowler who plays for the West Indies is recovering due to an injury sustained after a car crash last Sunday. The vehicle collision happened along Highway 2000 near Old Harbour in St. Catherine, Jamaica.
It was reported that Thomas is conscious and responsive after the incident and was immediately rushed to the hospital. His agent, Mark Neita, confirmed that the injuries were serious but will be discharged soon.
‘The West Indies Players’ Association extends best wishes to West Indies and Jamaica fast-bowler Oshane Thomas. WIPA’s executive and staff would like to extend our sympathies to Oshane. We wish for him a speedy and full recovery’, the WIPA stated.
Thomas was named as the ‘Emerging Player of the Year’ by the Cricket West Indies last year and was awarded a central contract ahead of the 2019-20 season. He was also able to take his first five-wicket haul during an ODI series against England.
