Pakistan has already dropped the names of their 16-man squad who will face off against England.
Pakistan and England have started their three-match Test series at Old Trafford in Manchester. As both teams had prepared for their game, both have also prepared their lineup of players who will participate.
With that, England has decided to go for an unchanged lineup of players which had led them to victory against the West Indies. Meanwhile, Pakistan has dropped its lineup of players as well. As they released the official lineup, Pakistan head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq has not ruled out the possibility of having two spinners on the first encounter of the two teams.
He said, ‘We have looked at the West Indies series and we have seen that at Manchester and Southampton conditions are different and we are seeing some dry conditions and help for spinners and reverse swing’.
‘I think I am pretty much satisfied with the preparations, we assembled after three months and started from zero. It has been a wonderful experience, we require such camps before a major series. This period was important for team bonding and preparations, creating match scenarios and good thing is the team is in good shape and looking forward to the series’, he added.
So far, the odds of the game are -500 for England and +331 for Pakistan. To see the updated cricket odds, check out Betwala.
