Nuwan Pradeep and Dhananjaya de Silva both sustained injuries which ruled them out for the upcoming T20I series against the West Indies.
Sri Lanka suffers from a double blow to their team as they had lost two of their players due to injury just days before their upcoming T20I tour against the West Indies. The scenario had been confirmed by a tweet that Sri Lanka Cricket posted.
In the last leg of the ODI series against the West Indies, Nuwan Pradeep had sustained a hamstring injury during the game. He had only bowled 4.3 overs and was not able to return to the field after he had limped out of it midway during the match.
Dhananjaya de Silva, on the other hand, bowled five overs in the same game and was able to score a half-century before he had picked up a wrist injury.
As Pradeep will be out for a total of six weeks, he will temporarily be replaced by Asitha Fernando. Meanwhile, the team has not yet announced a replacement for de Silva.
The match will take place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on March 4 where the odds are -123.36 for the West Indies and +104 for Sri Lanka. For more credible cricket odds, visit Betwala.
