Rabada Looks Back on South Africa’s Previous Tour of India

The South Africa tour of India this year is set to start on September 15

Team South Africa will visit India this year to play three T20Is and three Tests. Before this year’s tour, the team last visited India in 2015. South Africa dominated the T20I and ODI series of the past tour but they lost the Test series to India.

South African bowler Kagiso Rabada looks back on the team’s tour in India. He admits that the team could have done better in the tour’s Test series in 2015. ‘The Test series was a bit of a shambles because those wickets were just terrible’, said Rabada. ‘If we batted first it was going to be a different ball game because we ended up having to chase the game. We lost 3-0 and we were truly hammered’.

Rabada is ready to face India again in the upcoming tour of his team. ‘You need to figure out what you need to do to give the team a better chance to win, that is what I try to focus on’, he stated. ‘When you have played there before you will have an idea of what to do in certain tough situations’.

India took home the victory in their West Indies tour, winning the ODI, T20I, and Test series of the tour. South Africa already revealed their squad lineup for the tour and Rabada is set to play in the T20I and Test series of the tour. Both teams have not released their ODI squad lineup as it is set to happen in 2020. Find out more about the three different formats played in cricket today at Betwala.
