Mohammad Saifuddin, the all-rounder of the Bangladesh cricket team is looking to make a comeback in international cricket.
Mohammad Saifuddin recently recovered from a back injury and bowled at the nets last Tuesday, February 4.
BCB’s medical department directed him to join the third round of the Bangladesh Cricket League which is scheduled to start on February 14.
Saifuddin last played for the team in September last year and has since been ruled out of matches for the last few months.
On top of that, he was ruled out of the ODIs against Sri Lanka after the injury worsened. It was revealed in x-ray scans that the injury might take a little longer to fully heal. So, he was ruled out of the tours of India and Pakistan and the Bangladesh Premier League.
In an interview, Saifuddin said, ‘I heard that I have been given medical clearance. If the selectors think about my selection, I can say that I am ready’.
Champaka Ramanayake, the high-performance team coach of Bangladesh said that he was amazed by Saifuddin’s recovery. He is hopeful that Saifuddin will be able to join the squad for the home series against Zimbabwe.
Tomorrow, Bangladesh (+350) and Pakistan (-454.55) are scheduled to begin the first of the two-match Test series.
