Scotland defeats the Netherlands by six wickets in the Ireland Tri-Nation series. They chased down the 123-run target set by the opposing team. The fifth T20I match took place yesterday at The Village in Malahide.
Left-spinner Hamza Tahir was the star player of his side. He claimed 4 wickets for 30. The team overtook the chase in just 13.2 overs with the help of three batsmen who scored 20s.
Bas de Leede of Netherlands scored 30 off 36 balls. His side posted 123/10 in 20 overs at the end of the match. Scotland’s team captain Kyle Coetzer was lost early but his team members George Munsey and Calum MacLeod made a partnership to stitch a 42-run stand for the team. Richie Berrington and Ollie Hairs scored good figures to push the team to victory.
In the fourth T20I match, Netherlands chased the 182-run target set by Ireland. They were stable at the beginning of the match. Their openers scored 30 in the first three overs. They defeated Ireland by six wickets and posted a final score of 183 for 4 in 19.1 overs.
