Sean Williams made it a special day for Zimbabwean cricket fans after scoring an astounding century in the Harare Test against Sri Lanka.
Zimbabwe scored an impressive 352 at the opening day of the second and final Test match in Harare against Sri Lanka.
Sean Williams gave out an impressive performance by scoring a century in the game. Williams was also able to pull off a 159-run partnership with Sikandar Raza when they shifted the game to be in favour of their team.
The Zimbabwean Cricket Team lost a couple of wickets early in the game after they choose to bat first. However, they were able to get back after Kevin Kasuza and Brendan Taylor scored 65 runs. The Kasuza-Taylor partnership was then separated by Sri Lanka’s Suranga Lakmal. Brendan Taylor then continued with his impressive playing style by scoring 62 runs which included 10 fours and a six. After Taylor had been trapped by Lakmal after scoring 62 runs, it was the Williams and Raza duo that took over.
The partnership scored 159 runs for the team. The duo seemed to be unbreakable until Raza had been called out after scoring 72 runs. Williams, who remained, was then able to score a total of 107 runs with 10 fours and 3 sixes before he got out of the game. This served as William’s 2nd Test century.
Sean Williams made his Test debut in 2013 on Zimbabwe’s second Test match against the West Indies. To know more about the different cricket formats, head over to Betwala.
