BCCI is taking no chances when it comes to the safety of the Men in Blue as they play New Zealand.
New Zealand is no doubt one of the best and safest places to tour. The BCCI, however, will not let its guard down as they are doubling Team India’s security ahead of the tour that is set to take place this month.
Virat Kohli and the grit-and-grind squad of India will play a full-fledged series in New Zealand this year starting January 20th. The series is composed of three Tests, five T20Is, and three One-Day Internationals.
The Men in Blue are set to stay in the country from January 20th until early March.
Prior to the tour, the BCCI and New Zealand Cricket are in talks regarding the security of the players as the Indian cricket is taking a serious approach after last year’s horrific attack in Christchurch.
50 people were killed following attacks on two mosques back in March 2019. The Bangladesh team was in New Zealand at that time and was able to escape the shooting in the nick of time. That ultimately led to the cancellation of the last Test of the tour.
The ODI between Australia and New Zealand is currently underway and will end by January 7th. New Zealand currently has +2200 on the cricket odds while Australia has +1. Make sure to check on Betwala for the latest cricket odds.
