Khan and Cornwall are two of the heaviest players in cricket
West Indies’ Rahkeem Cornwall recently made his Test debut in the Jamaica Test against India. He is the heaviest cricket player, weighing about 140 kilograms. Cornwall bowled in 41 overs during the second Test match between West Indies and India. Seemab Khan recently stated that he is keeping a close eye on Cornwall. Khan is Mumbai’s heaviest cricket player. He praises Cornwall’s play during the Jamaica Test.
‘He (Cornwall) has a very nice, uncomplicated and easy bowling action’, said Khan. The Mumbai player also had the same weight as Cornwall in the past. Cornwall is currently trying to lose weight and Khan said there is no fast rule for losing weight. His only advice for the West Indies bowler is to find out what works for him best.
‘To be honest there is no particular advice I can give to Rahkeem because what works for me might not work for him and vice versa. The only thing is to be agile and fragile on your feet’, continued Khan. ‘There are people who are thin but can’t move too well and there are people who are heavy and can move swiftly. Being thin does not necessarily mean being fit. So, he should see what works for him best and back himself completely’.
Seemab Khan used to play for Mumbai’s Kanga league. West Indies and India are on the last leg of the latter’s tour. The teams play two Tests for the tour, with India winning the first match by 318 runs. The ongoing Jamaica Test is the second Test and last match of the tour. India (-10000) has the best odds on the Test match against West Indies (+2100). The Jamaica Test started on August 30 and will conclude on September 4.
