The pace trio of New Zealand consisting Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry are ruled out of ODIs against India due to injuries.
After the first-pace bowlers were plagued with injuries, New Zealand needed to look for a new pace attack for the ODI series against India.
Matt Henry suffered a broken thumb, while Trent Boult was set aside for a broken hand and Lockie Ferguson sustained a calf strain.
New Zealand is hoping that Boult will soon recover and join the two-Test match series against the Men in Blue.

Henry Nicholls along with Martin Guptill will remain as openers. The come back of Tom Latham gave the middle order a new hope for additional attack. Latham has recently recovered from his broken finger. For all-rounders, Colin de Grandomme, James Neesham and Mitchell Santner will maintain.
Now, the New Zealand squad is consists of captain, Kane Williamson and teammates, Hamish Bennett, Tom Blundell, Colin de Grandhomme, Martin Guptill, Kyle Jamieson, Scott Kuggeleijn, Tom Latham, Jimmy Neesham, Henry Nicholls, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi (for first ODI), Tim Southee and Ross Taylor.
Since the World Cup final in July 2019, this will be New Zealand’s first ODI match. If you want to learn more about the ICC Cricket World Cup, visit the Betwala page.
