Shakib Al Hasan Congratulates Bangladesh After First T20I Victory

The Bangladesh Cricket Team won the first T20I match despite the severe smog

The Bangladesh Cricket Team defeated the Men in Blue on the first T20I match in Delhi. They thrashed India by 7 wickets, declaring a score of 154/3 for 19.3 overs. Mushfiqur Rahim was adjudged as Player of the Match after he shouldered the Tigers to their maiden win by scoring an unbeaten 60 off 43 balls.

Shakib Al Hasan congratulated his side on Facebook. ‘What an amazing team performance under tremendous pressure! Congrats boys! You made the entire nation proud’, he wrote.

Shakib was suspended last week after failing to report match-fixing reports from a bookie. He is banned from playing the sport for 18 months. Shakib humbly accepted the sanction and vowed that he will continue to cooperate with the ICC.

The second T20I match will be held on November 7 at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. India (-588.24) has greater odds to win against Bangladesh (+430). Check out the latest cricket odds on Betwala.
