The Bangladesh Cricket Board will announce the updated T20I squad following the absence of the skipper
Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan will be absent for the upcoming India tour. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) didn’t disclose the reason for Shakib’s absence. The skipper only attended one training session in preparation for the T20I matches.
‘We will announce the T20 team tomorrow (October 29) at noon. We need some more time to announce our Test team. We will announce it two to three days later’, BCB cricket operations chairman Akram Khan said yesterday.
Shakib was also absent during the meeting set by board president Nazmul Hasan. Head coach Russell Domingo, along with some senior players, had a discussion about strategies for the upcoming matches against India.
In early reports, the BCB will take legal action against Shakib Al Hasan after signing a sponsorship deal with a telecom company. It is a violation of the board’s terms and conditions and also against the protocol. It may cause conflict with the team’s sponsors.
The Bangladesh Cricket Team’s tour of India will begin on November 3 in Delhi. The team will play three T20Is and two Test matches. Odds of the first T20I match will be updated soon. Check out the latest cricket odds on Betwala.
