20-year-old Shubman Gill is the youngest captain to lead a team in the Deodhar Trophy final. His side, India C, competed with Parthiv Patel’s team, India B, in Ranchi yesterday. However, they were defeated by the opposing team by 32 runs. India C chased 284 in 50 overs, however, they only managed to score 239 for 9 in 50 overs.
In the Deodhar final, Shubman Gill scored a big century for India C. This achievement broke the 10-year-old record by Indian skipper Virat Kohli. The young cricketer has made a lot of achievements in the recent matches for India A.
During the home series against the South African Cricket Team, Shubman got his maiden call up. However, he wasn’t featured in the three matches of the series.
