Sarkar is confirmed to join the squad for the final ODI match against the Chevrons.
Soumya Sarkar, a left-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler who also plays for the Rangpur Riders was added to the ODI squad for the third and final match against Zimbabwe.
Sarkar is the first Bangladeshi cricketer who scored a total of 200 runs in List A during Dhaka Premier Division 2019. He also scored his first ODI century in 2015 when he was selected to join the national cricket team.
Chief selector Minhajul Abedin also announced that Mushfiqur Rahim will not join the ODI squad. ‘Mushfiqur will not be playing as we want to see one of the youngsters in this game before they are picked for the Pakistan ODI next month. We don't want to hand them a debut there’, Abedin said.

During the 1st and 2nd ODI, Bangladesh won the match by 169 and 4 runs respectively. The final ODI match will be on March 6 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
