The two players topped in the ICC Test Rankings for Batsmen
Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly spoke on who is the best player between the two famous batsmen Virat Kohli and Steve Smith. The two players made a lot of records in the tournaments they recently participated in. They were also the two top-ranking batsmen in the ICC Test Rankings.
‘These are questions not to be answered. How does it matter? It’s about performance. Virat is the best in the world at the moment. So that’s what makes us happy. Smith’s records speak for itself… 26 Test hundreds which is a phenomenal record’, Ganguly said.
Virat Kohli served as the captain of the Men in Blue in all formats for the West Indies tour. He broke a lot of records during the event whereas he scored a massive amount of runs. The latest record he achieved is the team’s 28th Test win under his captaincy. He surpassed MS Dhoni’s 27 Test wins during his tenure in the team.
Steve Smith made a huge comeback in international cricket after serving his ban from playing. He was adjudged as the Player of the Series in the Ashes 2019 and received the Compton-Miller medal. Since the beginning of the series, he had been scoring centuries that amazed a lot of fans. Smith scored a combined 774 runs in the series.
