Faf du Plessis praised seam attacks made by Indian bowlers in the series
The South African Cricket Team suffered another painful defeat from the Men in Blue. The home team thrashed them by 202 runs and an innings. They were leading 3-0 in the three-match Test series. India’s fast bowlers claimed 26 wickets in the series which is a feat for the team.
‘Obviously we spoke about this before the series, the mindset coming here, especially after 2015 was, prepare yourself for a lot of spinning tracks. And it’s been the opposite, it’s actually been really good cricket wickets. A lot in it for the bowlers, a lot in it for the batters, so fantastic Test cricket to be played’, du Plessis said.
South African skipper Faf du Plessis lauded praise for India’s bowlers despite his side’s disappointing defeat. ‘And the Indian seam attack was tremendous. Right through the series, relentless and they showed us how to consistently bowl line and length’.
South Africa failed to score in the points table of the World Test Championship. India is currently the leading team in the points table. They scored a total of 240 points, combined with their points from the Test series they played in the West Indies.
