The Sri Lanka Cricket Team registered their second win in the T20I series against Pakistan in Lahore. Left-handed batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 77 off 48 balls in the match. It helped Sri Lanka declare 182 for 6 in the total. He was later adjudged as Player of the Match.
The visiting team has opted to bat. At the beginning of the match, they lost their openers after being dismissed by Imad Wasim’s deliveries. Sri Lanka was saved by Shehan Jayasuriya and Bhanuka Rajapaksa’s partnership in the third wicket. The left-hander scored his maiden half-century in international cricket when he stitched 94 runs with Jayasuriya.
Pakistan displayed an excellent performance in the match. Ahmed Shehzad and Sarfaraz Ahmed made a partnership and scored 40 runs. However, in four deliveries, the duo and Umar Akmal were dismissed by Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga.
