English pacer Stuart Broad has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee due to his use of inappropriate language in Manchester.
Stuart Broad used some foul language on the field after he had dismissed Pakistan player Yasir Shah. With that, he has been proved to have violated Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.
The said article pertains to ‘using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match’.
After his violation, Broad has received a 15 per cent fine and one demerit point from match referee Chris Broad who happens to be his father. With that, he already has a total of three demerit points within a 24-month period. Should he receive one more, then he will be suspended. The first demerit point was obtained by Broad in a match against India at Trent Bridge in 2018 while the second one was in a match against South Africa held at The Wanderers this January.
So far, the odds of the game for the upcoming match between England and Pakistan are -263.16 for the home team and +190 for the visiting team. For more cricket odds updates, check out Betwala.
