The Indian Cricket Team is currently in fifth place in the ICC T20I rankings after being defeated by Bangladesh
Former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar was asked about Shikhar Dhawan’s innings against Bangladesh during the first T20I match in Delhi. He felt that questions will be raised on the left-handed batsman if he doesn’t improve his form in the next two matches. Dhawan scored 41 runs in the first T20I match before being dismissed.
‘Questions will be raised on Shikhar Dhawan if he doesn’t bat well in the next 2 matches. The team is not going to benefit if you’re scoring 40-45 runs from the same number of balls. He will have to think about this. When players come back after the gap, it does take a lot of time to get back the rhythm’, Gavaskar said.
The Indian Cricket Team faced a disappointing defeat against the visiting team in the first match of the T20I series played in Delhi. Currently, India is in fifth place in the ICC T20I rankings. Gavaskar believes that they need to improve their rankings if they want to win in next year’s T20 World Cup.
The Men in Blue is scheduled to play against the Tigers tomorrow in Rajkot. India (-667) has greater odds than Bangladesh (+480). Check out the latest cricket odds on Betwala.
