Following the retirement of MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina went to social media to announce his retirement from international cricket as well.
Having played about 300 international games in a span of a 13-year-career, Suresh Raina announces his retirement from international cricket shortly after MS Dhoni. He posted in his Twitter account and on his Instagram account to share about his side.
On Instagram, he posted a picture with some of his teammates with a caption that says, ‘It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781. With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind!’.
Following that said post, he also posted a long message on his Twitter and Instagram to share his feelings about his retirement. In the said post, he shared about how grateful he is for the experience and for the entirety of the journey. He also thanked his coaches, his teammates, as well as his fans who made it all possible.
Despite his retirement, he will still be seen playing alongside Dhoni in the upcoming season of the IPL for the Chennai Super Kings. Like Dhoni, he has also been arriving in Chennai for some team preparations prior to their flight to UAE where the IPL will be held.
