Since the latest edition of the IPL, Suresh Raina was ruled out to any cricket match after suffering a left knee injury.
In August, Suresh Raina underwent his second knee surgery. Now, the left-hander of the Chennai Super Kings is physically fit and intending to come back for the upcoming Indian Premier League this year.
Currently, Raina is undergoing training in Chennai with Chennai Super Kings trainer, Greg King. On Thursday, he had an interview after a session at Chepauk. He talked about his comeback and the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia, among others.
Raina said that as he is set for a three-week training, it is best to take the progress slowly. After a knee operation, it is best to remove any worries during training. Right now, he feels that everything is going well and his only goal is to be strong.
Regarding MS Dhoni, Raina said that the captain of CSK will return to Chennai in the first week of March to begin training for the IPL. According to Raina, Dhoni is spending a lot of quality time with his family. But, the left-handed batsman wishes to see his captain continue to play.
The thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League will happen from March 29 to May 24.
