Former Pakistan player Taufeeq Umar has tested positive for COVID-19 after experiencing some feverish symptoms.
Pakistan’s former player felt a bit feverish last Saturday so he quickly opted for a COVID-19 test in which he tested positive. With that, he had been the fourth player who had contracted the virus after Majid Haq, Zafar Sarfaraz, and Solo Nqweni.
As per Umar, ‘I got myself tested last night after feeling a little sick last night, and the result came positive. My symptoms are not at all severe. I have isolated myself at home. I appeal to everyone to pray for my swift recovery'.
Umar may be best remembered for his performances in 44 of Pakistan’s Test matches. Aside from Test matches, he also actively played for ODIs. To further understand cricket formats, visit Betwala.
