Nazmul Hasan, the chief of BCB hopes Rahim to reconsider his decision to join the squad.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expects Mushfiqur Rahim to reconsider joining the squad for the final leg of the Pakistan tour. BCB also cleared that they respect Rahim’s decision but is still hopeful to rethink his decision.
Rahim was recently ruled out of the three T20Is and the first Test due to safety concerns wherein his absence is truly felt as the Men in Green dominate the field.
‘He (Mushfiqur) has not informed us anything of such (to be part of Pakistan tour) yet but I hope he will go. All centrally contracted players should go. You need to think of the country and not always yourself. Everyone's family is important but the country is bigger’, Nazmul Hasan stated, the chief of BCB.
Rahim is also the former captain of the Tigers who was named as one of the world’s famous athlete. He was also the first wicket-keeper to score double centuries. Rahim also holds the highest individual score and is the second batsman of the Tigers to score a total of 4,000 runs in Test cricket.
The only ODI match will be on April 3 at the National Stadium of Karachi while the second Test will be from April 5 to 9 at the same venue. To learn more about cricket formats, check out Betwala’s page for more information.
