He is now the second placer in the most ducks player ranking
Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal achieves an unwanted record in T20I. He is now equal with Sri Lanka’s Tillakaratne Dilshan for having the most ducks in the format. Akmal was dismissed during the T20I match against Sri Lanka in Lahore and scored a golden duck.
He is now on the 2nd spot for bagging 10 ducks after playing 80 T20I matches. Dilshan is on the top of the ranking and shares the same number of ducks with Akmal.
Umar Akmal used to be one of the star players of Pakistan, however, he failed to score runs in the first and second T20Is against Sri Lanka. His poor performance drew criticisms on Twitter and got trolled by fans
He was selected in the team which served as his comeback in T20I since 2016. The Pakistani batsman faced a ban after having a heated argument with head coach Mickey Arthur. Akmal used foul language during the verbal exchange with Arthur. He was reprimanded and fined one million rupees.
