Usman Khawaja believes that he deserves a spot in the Australian Test lineup because he is still worthy.
Usman Khawaja hasn’t played for the Australian side for quite a long time. Still, he is hopeful that he can make it back to the country’s Test set-up.
As he got overlooked from the contracted players of Cricket Australia, Khawaja believes that he has still a lot to offer. In fact, he is quite confident that he can make a comeback into the national side.
As per Khawaja, ‘Age is just a number and if you're performing, you're performing; it's not like I'm 37 or 38 and coming into right at the end of my career. Without sounding arrogant, I still feel like I'm one of the top six batsmen in the country’.
‘My playing against spin has been right up there as some of the best in the country. Bar maybe Steve Smith, who is an absolute genius. But the most important thing is to score runs’, he added.
