Dane Van Niekerk returns after recovering from her injury sustained last February in a match against Sri Lanka.
Dane Van Niekerk returns to join South Africa’s cricket women division for the three-match series in New Zealand after a year of recovering from her injury. Van Niekerk sustained a stress fracture on her right leg in a match against Sri Lanka last February.
Her vice-captain, Chloe Tryon together with Marizanne Kapp and Ayabonga Khaka was also confirmed to join after recovering from an injury sustained in a match against India. Nadine de Klerk and Nondumiso Shangase, who has played three ODIs and four T20Is is also included in South Africa’s line-up.

Van Niekerk has also appeared in several Tests, ODI, and T20 International representing South Africa. She is also the captain of the women’s team in all three forms since 2016.
