Royal Challengers Bangalore team captain Virat Kohli believes that they deserve to win an IPL title this time.
The IPL may have been postponed but it cannot be denied that the determination of its players remains to be intact for a championship title. In fact, Men in Blue and Royal Challengers Bangalore team captain believes that his team deserves a championship title as well.
The RCB is one of the three teams which has not yet won any IPL title ever. Since the IPL had begun in 2008, the RCB has reached the finals for three times already. Unfortunately, the team has not yet bagged the title as they always land on the runner-up spot.
As per team captain Kohli, the pressure adds up to the team considering that they have some of the most outstanding players like AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, and Dale Steyn. ‘We've reached 3 finals, but we haven't won a single one of them. We've made three semifinals, but those things are irrelevant till the time you don't win the title. We feel the same as everyone else’, Kohli said.
Kohli is firm that the team deserves the title. As they had one of the best lineups, the team just happened to never make it. The team’s goal still remains to be to win the title as Kohli believes that it would uplift the players once more. Every passing season, as per Kohli, the team believes that it would be their season as they fight off their pressure to win the title.
The RCB started playing in for IPL in 2009 despite the league having started in 2008. Despite the season being delayed, all the teams -- not just the RCB, are hopeful to bag home the title as IPL champions. To know more about this prestigious league, visit Betwala.
