Virat Kohli Remains No.2 in Test Rankings

The Indian skipper is one point away from overtaking Steve Smith

Indian Cricket Team captain Virat Kohli is one point behind Australian batsman Steve Smith in the latest Test rankings for batsmen. The skipper scored 936 points for the first time since January 2018. His latest Test match was yesterday for the home series against South Africa.

Kohli hit a massive two-century at the second Test match. He helped the team win the match and defeat the Proteas by 137 runs. The Indian skipper was adjudged as the man of the match.

Steve Smith remains at the number one spot with 937 points. Smith had his huge comeback at this year’s Ashes. He smashed a lot of centuries which helped the team regain the Ashes urn on English soil. During his suspension from playing cricket, Kohli used to occupy the number one spot. The Australian batsman reclaimed the spot after his outstanding performances at the Ashes.

Virat Kohli’s teammate Cheteshwar Pujara scored an impressive 817 points. Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane owns the ninth spot with 721 points. Mayank Agarwal is at 17th with 657 points, then fast bowler Ravindra Jadeja is at no. 40 with 551 points.

The Indian Cricket Team is slated to play the third and final Test against South Africa. The home team (-1000) has the best odds to win against South Africa (+680). Check out the latest cricket odds on Betwala.
