The World Cup of Test Cricket runs for two years

The former Indian cricket player weighs in on the new ICC World Test Championship. The World Test started this year and will continue until 2021. England is already set to host the finals of the tournament. The World Test started with the Ashes 2019 series of England and Australia.

The Test series of India’s ongoing West Indies tour is also a part of the World Test. Sehwag talked about India’s chances in the World Test. He thinks that the team has good bowlers and spinners. He said that India can win the World Test if the team focuses on the perfect team combination.

‘Two years is a long time. Yes, the team is in good hands. I wish Ravi Shastri all the luck for his second innings and Virat Kohli all the very best’, Sehwag said. The Test series of India’s tour features two Test matches. The first Test match of the series already ended, with India winning the game by 318 runs. The team earned 60 points for the World Test because of their win in the first Test. Their second and last Test against West Indies kicks off on August 30 and will continue until September 3. India will gain another 60 points if they win in the upcoming Test against West Indies.

Sehwag also stated that he is satisfied with the team’s early performance in the World Test. He believes that India is stable and balanced enough to continue delivering good Test plays in the next two years. The odds are for India (-666.67) to win the last Test match of the tour against West Indies (+490). Other cricket odds are also available at Betwala, including the ongoing Ashes series.
