Lendl Simmons delivers a huge blow against the Men in Blue to tie the T20I series between the two teams as West Indies cruised with an eight-wicket win.
West Indies managed to come up with a defining win in the second T20I of the three-match series. They have claimed the win by eight wickets against a shocked team India that was sloppy in the field.
The Men in Blue dropped the catches early to reprieve Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis, which hurt their chances in the game. They were defending 171 and has started off well with the ball.
The team had their chance to send back West Indies’ openers early in the game, but the team seemed to be out of their focus as their poor fielding allowed the opening stand grow to 73 tuns by the 10th over.
Dew hampered the Indian bowlers in the loss. Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran took advantage of the situation and batted with such precision which led to Simmons’ unbeaten 67. West Indies took over in the 19th over and never looked back against the struggling Indians.
The West Indies’ superb win ties the series and puts pressure to the Men in Blue. Virat Kohli and the rest of the squad must find a way to respond well if they are to win the series with a bang.
The third T20I between the two teams is set on December 11th, with the cricket odds still in favour of Team India as they have -256.41 while West Indies has 210. Remember to check on Betwala for the latest cricket odds.
