The Windies are scheduled to tour Sri Lanka from February 17 to March 6 with three ODI and two T20I matches.
Yesterday, the schedule for the West Indies tour of Sri Lanka was announced. The upcoming limited-overs series between the two teams will happen in February and March. The last time the Windies toured Sri Lanka was in October to November 2015 where they lost in ODIs at 3-0 and drew in T20Is at 1-1.
The West Indies cricket team will arrive in Sri Lanka on February 10 to prepare for their upcoming matches on February 17 and 20. The first warm-up match will be considered unofficial and the second match in Katunayake will be against the Board President’s XI.
Meanwhile, the first ODI of the series will take place at the Colombo SSC on February 22. It will be followed by the second and third ODI at the Hambantota and Kandy on February 26 and March 1, respectively. The first ODI will be the only one-day match.
The visiting team are scheduled to play two T20I matches on March 4 and 6 against the hosting team. Both matches are set to take place in Kandy.
The most recent bilateral series between the two teams happened in 2018 when Sri Lanka played three Test matches against the West Indies.
