Zaman Hopes to be Selected For T20 World Cup

The Pakistan batter is hoping for a chance to redeem himself and play for his team in the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2020 which will be held in Australia.

Fakhar Zaman has failed to meet expectations in his T20 career. He hasn’t been able to make up for all his mistakes and is yet to get out of his slump. He only managed to score 15 runs coming from all of his last five T20Is and scored 24 at most.

In his recent games, he only had 0 and 2 against Australia before being dropped for the final T20I of the three-match series. He hasn’t been able to make his shots well and is far from making things happen for him and his team.

He admits his current slump and knows he is currently out of his form. The Mardan-born batter knows that it will not be a walk in the park for him to come up better and meet expectations in his game with the T20 World Cup set in 2020.

‘I have made mistakes but I intend on regaining my lost momentum by taking part in the domestic circuit. That is why I have been playing four-day matches in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy’, said Zaman. ‘I had learned a lot from my time in Australia and I hope that a year from now, I would be ready to picked in the T20 squad’.

Zaman hopes he could master his batting before it is too late. To know more about batting, be sure to check Betwala’s cricket guide.
