All may not be lost for Zimbabwe cricket as they are set to participate in the upcoming tournament.
Zimbabwe cricket has been on the receiving end of some bad news lately: the ICC suspended them, withdrawing all funding and support; a few cricketers announced their retirement after this. In spite of this, all may not be lost for them because they are scheduled to participate in the T20I Triangular Series.
Starting September, they will play alongside Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The Bangladesh Cricket Board had to wait for Zimbabwe Cricket’s confirmation before making the announcement official. The series was supposed to help prepare Zimbabwe for the T20 World Cup Qualifiers, but because of the developments, were removed and replaced by Nigeria.
“We are holding the tri-series as planned. We had to wait until now for them to confirm their participation. The ICC has clearly stated that they are allowed to play against member boards,” BCB chairman Nizamuddin Chowdhury said.
Here is the schedule for the tri-nation series
September 13, Friday - Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe - Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka
September 14, Saturday- Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe - Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka
September 15, Sunday - Bangladesh vs Afghanistan - Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka
September 18, Wednesday - Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe - Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram
September 20, Friday - Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe - Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram
September 21, Saturday - Bangladesh vs Afghanistan - Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram

Despite Zimbabwe having some outcomes not going their way, they are still able to play against Member Board teams and participate in domestic matches. To learn more about various cricket tournaments and leagues, visit Betwala’s page.
