The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has officially called COVID-19 as the biggest challenge that cricket has faced in the modern era. In line with that, the board has decided to pledge a financial aid package amounting to £61 million to support all cricket events in England. Meanwhile, cricket has lost two outstanding men who had well shared a part of their lives with the sport. One is Lancashire CC chairman David Hodgkiss who died of COVID-19 at age 71. The other one is Tony Lewis, aged 78, who is the co-founder of the popular DLS method in cricket.

Amid the outbreak of COVID-19, several cricket events remain to be uncertain of their resumption.
