Several county cricket clubs have decided the fate of their foreign players for the upcoming season of County Championship. With that, Lancashire decided to cancel three of their players’ contracts -- namely, BJ Watling, Glenn Maxwell, and James Faulkner. On the other hand, Gloucestershire decided to extend the contract of their team captain Chris Dent for three years.

Meanwhile, some cricket boards have been busy with regards to the controversial issues of their members. Pakistani player Umar Akmal, who had been suspended since February, will be required to attend a hearing which concerns his two breaches of PCB’s corruption code. Similar to that, the BCB had also been advised by the ICC to exclude Javed Omar from major events after he did some suspicious activities.

Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, some matches had also been indefinitely postponed over the concern of the players and the audiences’ safety. Some of those which had been postponed was South Africa and Sri Lanka’s tour in June which consists of three ODIs and three T20Is. Another tour which was postponed was Pakistan’s tour of Netherlands in July which was supposed to have three ODIs.
