St Kitts and Nevis Patriots faced defeat in the match against the TKR
Patriots skipper Carlos Brathwaite and Riders batsman Lendl Simmons got into a heated argument. It happened during the Eliminator match of the Carribean Premier League (CPL) held at the Providence Stadium. The argument sparked when Brathwaite appealed for a run-out.
During the heated moment, on-field umpire Gregory Brathwaite came to settle them down. Riders skipper Kieron Pollard was about to send a message. However, he was stopped by the fourth umpire.
It was not a good match for the Patriots after losing by six wickets. They are almost close to reaching the chase set by the Riders. The Patriots only managed to score 125 in 20 overs. Sunil Narine from the opposing team was adjudged as man of the match. He played despite an injured finger. Narine claimed two wickets and scored 10 runs in four overs.
