Colin Munro contributes an impressive total of 87 runs in the match of Islamabad United against the Lahore Qalandars.
The Lahore Qalandars was beaten by the Islamabad United by 71 runs on their match during the Pakistan Super League. Prior to that, Lahore had put out an impressive performance against the Quetta Gladiators before they lost to Islamabad United.
During the game, Islamabad opener Colin Munro had been dubbed as the ‘Man of the Match’ when he pulled off a stunning total of 87 runs which contributed well to the team’s success. Munro was able to manage amazing three sixes and four boundaries which helped him earn his total runs. Munro also engaged in a partnership with Luke Ronchi during the match. Together, they pulled off a stunning 103-run partnership.
Lahore, on the other hand, didn’t make much of a great performance during the match. Shaheen Afridi was injured, batsmen Ben Dunk and Samit Patel fell early, Usman Shinwari didn’t do well enough as a wicket-keeper, and Chris Lynn had been removed on the second delivery.
Islamabad United’s victory served as a major bounceback from a previous five-wicket defeat against the Karachi Kings. The match against Lahore Qalandars was wrapped up with a score of 198/3 against the latter’s 127.
With that victory, the team secured themselves on the second top spot of the PSL rankings. To know more about the Pakistan Super League, head over to Betwala.
