The Lahore Qalandars bags home their third victory in the PSL after winning their match against Peshawar Zalmi.
Fakhar Zaman and Chris Lynn both scored half-centuries which helped the Lahore Qalandars take home another victory in the PSL. The match between Lahore and Peshawar Zalmi took place at the Gadaffi Stadium.
The game went well for Lahore as they had a good start with the Zaman and Sohail Akhtar duo which already turned out with a half-century partnership. As Akhtar had been run out for 21, he had been replaced by Lynn who was able to score 59 runs before he got dismissed by Carlos Brathwaite. The Zaman-Lynn partnership eyed out a possible century if Lynn had not been dismissed early and if Zaman had not sent back by Wahab Riaz after scoring 63.
After the duo had been dismissed, Zalmi’s Brathwaite took another wicket and the game had seemed to be in favour of Zalmi once more. However, the game did not end there as Samit Patel and David Wiese strived to turn back the game on their team’s favour.
Brathwaite bowled the final over for Peshawar Zalmi. Fortunately, David Wiese had sent the fifth ball over the fence which sealed a penultimate victory for the Lahore Qalandars.
Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi are both teams which belong to the Pakistan Super League which is set to wrap up after 10 more matches. To know more about the PSL, head over to Betwala.
