English player Liam Livingstone has been re-signed by the Perth Scorchers for the upcoming season of the Big Bash League.
Last season, Liam Livingstone topped the running charts of the Perth Scorchers by posting 425 runs at an average of 30.35 and a strike rate of 142.62. With that, the franchise has re-signed the English player to still be a part of the team for the upcoming season of the Big Bash League.
It was also last season that he had formed a stunning opening partnership with Josh Inglis. Together, the duo was able to produce three-century opening stands in the course of the competition.
With that, Livingstone shared how it felt to have worked with the team. He says, ‘I loved my time with Perth last season, I can't wait to get back out there and get that orange playing shirt back on’.
‘I enjoyed opening the batting last year and formed a great partnership with "Ingo", hopefully we can pick up where we left off and continue to entertain the Perth supporters. The Scorchers have a rich history in the BBL, hopefully we can start the season strong and add another Big Bash title to the collection’, he added.
In response, Perth Scorchers coach Adam Voges said, ‘It's terrific that Liam has agreed to join us again for BBL 10, he made a great impression last season finishing as one of the competition's leading run-scorers. He fitted in very well with our group and along with his handy leg-spin and energetic fielding, he brings a wealth of talent to the team’.
The BBL is scheduled to start on December 3 at the Adelaide Oval. The Perth Scorchers will be first seen on the fourth match of the league where they’ll play against the Sydney Sixers at the Optus Stadium. To learn more about the different teams of the league, visit Betwala.
