The Pakistan Cricket Board has now decided to take preventive safety precautions against the possible contagion of COVID-19. Joining the long list of postponed events is the much-awaited remaining matches of PSL 2020. Aside from that, the PCB also decided to postpone the upcoming Test match and ODI to be played against Bangladesh in Karachi.

Meanwhile, some players had been advised to undergo self-isolation amid the outbreak of COVID-19. Among those who had been advised are the members of the South African team who just came back from India. Another player who is under self-isolation is English player Alex Hales who had shown symptoms of the virus upon coming home from Pakistan.

County Cricket is also affected due to the spread of COVID-19. In fact, six players of the Surrey County Cricket Club were self-isolated after being in close proximity to one another. Somerset, on the other hand, won’t see Matthew Wade due to a knee injury he had sustained. The England and Wales Cricket Board also foresees a possible delay in the 2020 County Cricket Championship due to the global pandemic.
