The Pakistan Cricket Team coach said that some players do not have cricket discipline
Pakistan is still down with their defeat against Sri Lanka in the T20I series. Coach Misbah-ul-Haq spoke about his disappointment with three senior players of the team. He said that he was unhappy to see their reluctance in playing the sport. The players mentioned were Haris Sohail, Imad Wasim, and Wahab Riaz.
According to Misbah, there were times that they made excuses to escape from training sessions. Haris Sohail has a habit of making excuses such as complaining pain when he’s asked to train. Misbah finds it hard to make the players follow. He described them as ‘too relaxed’ since they don’t appear to have cricket discipline.
The entire team faced criticisms following their defeat against a young cricket team. Misbah also said that the players don’t seem to follow and apply the plans during the match which are discussed in the dressing room. The head coach was terribly disappointed with the players’ lack of discipline in the sport.
Misbah also mentioned former coach Mickey Arthur when he recalled the exclusion of Wahab Riaz from the 2017 Champions Trophy. According to Misbah, the decision to leave out Riaz from the league was understandable. He had a feeling that Arthur also had the same problem with Riaz.
Misbah-ul-Haq captains Peshawar Zalmi for Pakistan Super League. To know more about this cricket league, read the page on Betwala.
