Pakistan tour of England will feature a T20I series as well
The schedule for Pakistan's Tour of England 2020 has been released yesterday, August 21. Pakistan and England will play three Tests and three T20Is in the duration of the tour. Pakistan's tour kicks off on July 30. Both teams will play for the tour's Test series first. The first Test match will be held at Lord's in London. The second and last Test will be on August 7, at Old Trafford in Stretford, England.
'This tour holds special significance since this will be Pakistan's first-ever tour of England for World Test Championship matches', said Zakir Khan. Khan is the current PCB director of international cricket.
Three other cricket teams will also tour England next year. These teams are West Indies, Australia, and Ireland. 'A tour of England tests the skills and limits of the visiting sides and I anticipate this tour to help Pakistan furnish their red-ball skills and also prepare them for the all-important ICC T20 World Cup in Australia later in 2020', Zhan continued.
Teams West Indies and Australia will tour England before Pakistan. West Indies will play three Tests against England. Meanwhile, Australia will play three T20Is and three ODIs. Ireland tours England after Pakistan and will play three ODI matches against the home team. These teams also play for the World Cricket League.
