Ali was ruled out from the ODI squad against Sri Lanka due to a back spasm
Pakistan fast-bowler Hasan Ali was ruled out from the ODI team against Sri Lanka at home. He got a back injury which caused him to miss the upcoming ODI matches against the visiting team. The first ODI match in Karachi was called off due to persistent rain. However, the second ODI was moved by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to September 30.
Ali is currently undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. Leg-spinner Shadab Khan attended a press conference on the eve of the ODI series. He was asked about playing in the absence of Ali. To make things light, he even joked about his relationship with Ali in the team.
Shadab said that the team misses Ali because he is the one who motivates the team in the dressing room. Whenever there are problems, he takes it lighter through his jokes. He also said that the team is determined to win the home series against Sri Lanka.
The Pakistani leg spinner tweeted the video from the press conference when he was asked about Ali. He said in the tweet that they will give their all to win.
