Here are all the 3rd-week highlights for the month of September. 

This week, the Australia tour of England has concluded their ODI series. Australia bagged home the victory by scoring 2 wins in the three matches that had been played. Australian player Steve Smith happened to miss out the first game after having been struck in the head. After having tested clear for two concussion tests, he was then allowed to rejoin the team for the rest of the series. 

As the series was watched by both English and Australian fans on their television screens, it has emerged that Australia’s Seven West Media has been refusing to pay Cricket Australia during this time.

The Bangladesh tour of Sri Lanka has also faced some uncertainties this week. Having been required to have their players undergo a 14-day strict quarantine period. After the BCB made it clear that they are willing to cancel the tour, SLC then relaxed their quarantine norms for the resumption of the series.

Meanwhile, different IPL franchises have already fixed their lineup for the upcoming season. One of the teams who have a new member is the Kolkata Knight Riders who signed up Ali Khan as a replacement for Harry Gurney. On the other hand, the Chennai Super Kings have faced another problem after one of their players, Ruturaj Gaikwad, had tested positive for COVID-19.
