Here are all the 2nd-week highlights for the month of October.
The Australian women team has dominated its series against New Zealand. The Meg Lanning-led side whitewashed the series to 3-0. She was also able to score an unbeaten 101 in the second game. The team was also able to secure consecutive 21 ODIs that equalled the world record that had been set by a Ricky Ponting-led team. As cricket matches resume, players will also be seen returning to the field. One is Shakib Al Hasan who will return to playing competitive cricket after his one-year ban is lifted. He will then be seen playing starting mid-November for an upcoming domestic league hosted by the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
After staying home in New Zealand for five weeks, Ben Stokes has already arrived in the UAE to play for the Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing season of the IPL. As his quarantine ended on October 10, he is expected to be seen in the match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, some players had already been ruled out from IPL 2020 due to injuries. Some of these players are Delhi Capitals’ Amit Mishra who sustained a finger injury and Sunrisers Hyderabad's Bhuvneshwar Kumar who incurred a thigh injury.
