Here are all the 3rd-week highlights for the month of July.
Cricket is starting to resume after a long break. With that, an official date has already been announced about this year’s Caribbean Premier League. Declared to start on August 18, all different franchises of the league are now working to establish a biosecure environment during the games. Meanwhile, three Bangladeshi players have opted out of the league because of several reasons. These players are Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad, and Mustafizur Rahman.

Several cricket boards have also seen some changes in their management. Among which are the BCCI and Cricket Ireland. This week, the BCCI appoints Hemang Amin as their interim CEO following the resignation of Rahul Johri. Similarly, CI has declared Philip Black as their new president as David O’Connor steps down from his post.

With regards to the West Indies tour of England, England has lost their first test match by four wickets. After the said match, temporary team captain Ben Stokes shared his experience about his captaincy and explained how it was difficult to deal with all the challenges that come with the role. As captain Joe Root returns, Joe Denly had been left out of the second match between the two teams.
