Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was able to achieve 1,000 World Cup runs during their match against Afghanistan on Monday. He also became the top scorer in the tournament.

Pakistan batsman Babar Azam became the second fastest to reach 3,000 one-day international (ODI) runs during their match against New Zealand on Wednesday.

India team captain Virat Kohli became the fastest batsman to reach the 20,000 international runs milestone during their match against West Indies on Thursday. However, Kohli also received a fine because of excessive appeals during their match against Afghanistan on June 22.

New Zealand won their match against West Indies on June 22 by five runs although they were fined by the ICC for slow over-rate.

Meanwhile, West Indies lost their matches against New Zealand and India this week. Not only that, Windies all-rounder Andre Russell was ruled out of World Cup matches because of his knee injury.
